Initially I started Free Style Martial Arts/ Kung FU at the age of 14yrs, it started out of my best mates back yard. We did some crazy things, watching all those Movies back then like Van Dam Kicking Trees etc, kneeling on brick, ha ha so funny when you think back. Then I went to a Kung Fu gym with him, and noticed they did Kickboxing classes, (Kick Kung Fu Gym).
I loved the fitness and excitement of the Kickboxing so I was drawn to this.
I have since had 44Fights with 33Wins, I have trained out of Fitenfitness and 108 Supalek gyms on the Central Coast NSW. Some of these fights in Boxing.
Some of my memorable fights would be twice against Roger Earp NZ, for Commonwealth and South Pacific Titles, I won both fights however they were both wars with a great fighter.
I fought with Nick Themalakis for the Pro Australian Title and I won, this was a good fight against an unbeaten fighter, I then had a great fight against Wayne Mead for the Professional South Pacific Title – This was a great 10round fight that I won.
The best and biggest fight to date (March 2007) was against Collin Galan a UK champion, I fought him in England for the Pro Inter Continental Title that I won unanimously. This was my best technical fight and was against my toughest opponent – he was one strong fighter and ended up lasting the full 10rounds, even though it look liked I was going to stop him in the 5th.
I enjoy helping and training new and up and comers in the sport, giving them guidance and assistance along the way.
I am looking at fighting for the Pro World Kickboxing Title in 2008 – I was set to fight for this in the Philippines in December 2007, however due to some circumstances at the last minute they told me the fight would not happen in Philippines but could happen later in Iran. I was unfortunately not able to fight, I was ready and trained for a 12round fight, So I went to Thailand and trained over there for the week to take out my frustrations.
This sport is great and one of the best things in my life (besides my wife of course) it has helped me become the person I am, I will be a World Champion before I retire – I will train other fighters and have my own gym.
